Built new to look old, this cape was sided with wide rough sawn cedar clapboards. The wood front porch with rustic beam supports added to its vintage look. Inside, the staircase and balcony were designed with knotty grade wood. The stone fireplace with its timber mantle gave the cathedral family room its warmth.
The wide plank wooded floors had to be antiqued with dents and ware marks to get the look my client desired. With 2x6 construction this well insulated cape had all the similarities of the old style
home except for cold drafts.
